Appledore Woods Berry Farm sell wild blackberries at the Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market. Blackberries are generally available for two to three weeks beginning the first week in August.

Black and Blue Pie

Prepare pie crust for a double crusted pie.

Mix the following:
3 cups Blackberries
2 cups Blueberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour

Place ingredients in bottom crust - sprinkle with 1 tsp. lemon juice and dot with 2 Tbsp. margarine. Place top crust over top of mixture - cutting vents for steam to escape. Brush with milk or water and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
